Clinton, NY (May 10): Soul star Kat Wright is coming back to CNY to play at the Kirkland Art Center on Friday, May 10th at 8 PM. Come experience this radiant 8-piece band, with opening act The Old Main coming on at 7 PM.
“We are excited to have Kat back for another show,” said a KAC spokesperson. “They played here in 2017 and it was such a great atmosphere. It’s an intimate venue so everyone gets to say hi to the band at intermission and get their albums signed.”
Kat Wright has been touring the East Coast from Maine to Miami, music lovers can enjoy a soul band “lush with grooving beats, exultant horns and a glittering optimism” –Seven Days. Performers at two Syracuse Jazz Festivals, the Brooklyn Bowl, Washington D.C.’s Anti-Ball, among others, the band is finding success, racking up awards and accolades along the way.
Their rich musical style comes from the talent not only of their namesake and vocalist Kat Wright but from the diversity of the instruments. With guitar, bass, drums, keys, saxophone, baritone sax and trumpets, the band can weave their magic in inspiring harmonies.
