On January 9, 2025 at approximately 11:30am, Oneida County Probation conducted a home visit at 615 West Thomas Street, Rome, New York. During their home visit, a search was conducted which yielded a black FN 5.7x28mm caliber handgun, ammunition, and high capacity magazine in violation of New York State Penal Law 265.02 (Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd). Members of the Rome Police Department responded and an investigation was conducted into the items found.
Following the investigation by the Rome Police Department’s Detective Division, the following individuals were charged regarding the incident:

Shamar T. Williams– 265.02(1) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (Possession of Firearm with Prior Conviction)
DOB: 01/07/2005 – 265.02 (8) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (High Capacity Magazine)
Zaleena U. Moore – 265.02 (8) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (High Capacity Magazine) DOB: 10/04/1988
