Indie Rock at The Kirkland Art Center

CLINTON, NY — Come to the Kirkland Art Center on Saturday, January 30 beginning at 7:30 p.m., to experience a unique musical journey of positivity and acceptance with the jam band Transient Kicks.
Nominated for a 2025 SAMMY Award for best Central New York-area jam band, Transient Kicks has garnered a well-deserved loyal and enthusiastic following. Transient Kicks are known for crafting immersive, atmospheric soundscapes: swirling guitar textures, hypnotic rhythms, and ethereal vocals. Each song tells a story — weaving themes of introspection, self-discovery, and social reflection into lush arrangements that invite both contemplation movement. Spontaneous grooves, soulful rhythms, and exceptional craftsmanship define the sextet’s indie rock sound.
Band members Jes Sheldon (lead vocals), Matthew McIntyre(bass, vocals), Bailey Elmore
(guitar, vocals), Mike Callaghan (keyboard, vocals), Ryan Drescher (guitar, vocals), and Jack Jarvis (drums, vocals) blend lyrical storytelling with numerous musical influences, including bluegrass, jazz, folk, funk, R&B and psychedelic rock.
