This episode of Hot Seat: Media Monday features iconic local DJ Linda Rae and Budd Green, who was known as “Bud in the Nighttime.” Linda started her career in local radio in 1983 at WTLB. Throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s she became one of the area’s most well-known and popular local disc jockeys, working for stations such as KG104, New York Z, Classic 94.9, Rock 107, WOW FM, Kiss FM, Mix 102.5, Talk! 100.7, 92.7 FM The Drive, and 95.5 FM before it became part of Utica Phoenix Media. Budd Green, who was “Bud in the Nighttime” on local radio, manages the Profile for the Rock 107, KG 104, and New York Z tribute pages on Facebook.
