HERKIMER, NY, June 5, 2026— Herkimer County Community College will host a ribbon-
cutting ceremony for its newly renovated baseball and softball fields on Thursday, June 18, at 5
p.m. on the college campus.
The event will celebrate the completion of improvements to the athletic facilities and recognize
the impact the upgraded fields will have on student-athletes, campus life and the surrounding
community.
College administrators, athletics staff, student-athletes, local officials and community members
are expected to attend. The ceremony will include remarks from college officials followed by the
official ribbon cutting, a ceremonial first pitch, tours of the new fields and a youth clinic.
The event is open to the public.
