With his wife, two children and extended family by his bedside, Nicholas Alahverdian took his final breaths on Feb. 29, 2020, as music from composer Alan Silvestri played in the background. His last words were, “Fear not and run toward the bliss of the sun,” according to his obituary, which listed non-Hodgkin lymphoma as the cause of death.
