Two rising stars in the AEW women’s division squared off in a first round match in the TBS Tournament on the Nov. 3 Dynamite. Anna Jay and Jaime Hayter looked evenly matched, but in the end, Hayter had two allies ringside (and a heel’s lack of respect for the rules).
A distraction from Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. & Rebel made the difference as Hayter won to advance to face Thunder Rosa in the second round.
That aftermath built to not only that match, but the Women’s Title match at Full Gear. Baker’s challenger Tay Conti was the first to run in to help her friend Anna when the champ and her lackeys went for the post-match beatdown.
When that 1 vs. 3 didn’t prove to be the answer either, Rosa joined the party. That served to remind us there are still unsettled issues between the good doctor and the wrestler from Tijuana.
