Hamilton College Town-Gown Fund Awards Nearly $123,000 to Local Non-Profits
Clinton, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Town-Gown Fund recently awarded nearly $123,000 to 13 local non-profits and public safety organizations serving the Town of Kirkland and the Village of Clinton.
Since its founding in 2001, the fund has invested $1.38 million in the local community. In addition to public safety support, grants are awarded to organizations with a primary focus on education.
This year’s grants ranged from $19,175 to $2,285. Highlights include:
- Graphing calculators for Clinton High School students.
- Tuition to train two new paramedics for COCVAC.
- Technology upgrades for the Clark Mills Historical Society.
- General operations support for The Country Pantry, which received $7,800.
“We’re grateful for the services and programs our grant recipients provide to residents in the Village of Clinton and the Town of Kirkland,” said Hamilton College President Steven Tepper, chair of the committee that allocates the awards. “They enrich our community immeasurably, often despite limited resources. It’s a pleasure to provide these extra funds to help ensure the vitality of the organizations and the community they serve.”
