Hamilton College Presents the One-Woman Play The Rembrandt Room

Clinton, NY – Colorado-based the Buntport Theater Company starts the spring semester
performing arts series off with The Rembrandt Room on Friday and Saturday January 30 and 31 at 7:30 pm in the Barrett Theatre in the Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts at Hamilton College.
Performed without an intermission, The Rembrandt Room is a one-woman show at turns funny, educational, and poignant. The play that follows a day in the life of a museum guard diligently standing watch adjacent to Rembrandt’s iconic “Danaë” painting that’s housed in the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. The guard expounds on the history of the painting — as well as her own.
The Rembrandt Room is the winner of the 2015 Henry Award for Outstanding New Play.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for senior citizens and Hamilton employees, and $5 for students. Seating is limited to 80 per night, and advance tickets are suggested. For tickets or more information, call the box office at (3q5) 859-4331 or visit http://www.hamilton.edu/performingarts.
