Clinton, NY – Hamilton College Performing Arts continues the fall performing arts series with a performance by the folk vocal ensemble Windborne on Friday, November 15 at 7:30 pm in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center.
Windborne draws on the singers’ deep roots in traditional vocal harmony while the absolute uniqueness of their artistic approach brings old songs into the present. Known for the innovation of their arrangements, their harmonies are bold and anything but predictable.
With a 20-year background studying music around the world, Lauren Bruenig, Jeremy Carter-Gordon, Lynn Rowan, and Will Rowan share a vibrancy onstage by blending voices onstage that can only come from decades of friendship along dedicated practice. The ensemble shifts effortlessly between drastically different styles of music, drawing their audience along on a journey that spans continents and centuries, illuminating and expanding the profound power of the human voice. The group educates as they entertain, sharing stories about their songs and explaining the context and characters of the styles in which they sing.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for senior citizens, and $5 for students. For more information, call the box office at (315) 859-4331 or visit www.hamilton.edu/performingarts.
