“ghost” gun with high-capacity magazines, ammunition, scales” : Rome Search and Seizure

On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at approximately 10:40AM, the Rome Police Department
Special Investigations Unit with the assistance of the Rome Police Patrol Division, New York
State Police Troop D VGNET, Special Investigations Unit, and K-9 Unit executed search
warrants at 288 East Dominick Street Apt. 1 and 290 East Dominick Street. As a result, a “ghost”
gun with high-capacity magazines, ammunition, scales, packaging materials, approximately 10.25
grams of cocaine, and $4,595.00 in U.S. Currency were seized. Subsequently, 41-year-old
Gustavo A. De La Maza-Figueroa of Rome was taken into custody. De La Maza-Figueroa is
charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (Intent to Sell),
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, two counts of Criminal
Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
De La Maza-Figuero was processed at Rome Police Headquarters and transported to the
Oneida County Correctional Facility for Centralized Arraignment Part Court.
