One iconic local business has started a new program to encourage people to get out and explore what Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse have to offer.

Genesee Brewery has a map on its website with fun outdoor activities to do this winter.

It is part of their #GeneSEENY program.

Genesee says despite the cold, there’s plenty to do across the region. And afterwards, you can visit a restaurant or bar and support small businesses.

“Genesee season is all year long, but in Upstate New York, it’s easy to stay couped up indoors through the colder months,” Genesee brand director Jaime Polisoto said in a statement. “We want to encourage our fans to enjoy the great outdoors and all New York has to offer, 365 days a year. We are launching #GeneSEENY to bring winter fun to our fans this season and to support local businesses hit hard by the pandemic. So, get out, have some fun and enjoy a Genny!”

The brewery says anyone 21 and older who shares a social media post with #GeneSEENY may see themselves featured on Genesee’s channels and website.
