Utica, N.Y. — Feast on the arts at Munson Museum of Art’s Lunch & Listen series, a free hour of live music, kicking off with a performance at noon Friday, Aug. 7, in the Museum’s Root Court by the Alliance Woodwind Trio, consisting of Elizabeth Evans on flute, Kristin Kelly Hahn on clarinet, and Judy Marchione on bassoon. The series, hosted each Friday throughout August, serves as a musical complement to Munson’s enchanting exhibition “Watercolor Stories: Art of Charles E. Burchfield,” on view through Sept. 13, 2026.
In his letters to Edward Root, Charles Burchfield often shared his thoughts on his favorite composers. Listen to talented local musicians perform the music of Beethoven, Sibelius, and others, interspersed with readings of Burchfield’s letters and journals during your lunch hour. Bring your lunch or order a boxed lunch from The Terrace at Munson, and enjoy the return of this popular program.
