Four Arrested After Ellenville Gas Station Assault
A 43-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after allegedly being attacked with a baseball bat.*
ELLENVILLE, N.Y. — Four Ellenville residents were arrested following an alleged assault at a Wawarsing gas station that left a 43-year-old man injured, according to New York State Police. The Ellenville assault arrests included three adults and a 16-year-old boy.
Troopers said they responded at approximately 9 a.m. Sept. 8 to a report of several people fighting at the Mobil gas station at 8404 State Route 209.
The preliminary investigation indicated that several people assaulted the man with a baseball bat, police said.
The victim was taken to Garnet Health Medical Center. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening. Police did not disclose his name or provide additional information about his condition.
Four people face assault-related charges
State Police said all four suspects were taken to the State Police barracks in Ellenville and processed without incident.

Defendants held after arraignment
All four defendants were arraigned in the Ulster County Court Centralized Arraignment Part and remanded to the Ulster County Jail pending future court appearances, according to State Police.
The charges are accusations. Each defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
The State Police announcement did not say what reportedly led to the confrontation. It also did not identify which defendant allegedly used the baseball bat or explain the circumstances behind the child-endangerment charge.
