“Creating the Graphic Narrative” at Hamilton College

Steve Orlando, a Hamilton College alumnus and writer for DC Comics and, will give a lecture on “Creating the Graphic Narrative” with James Zubkavich, a writer for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 8 p.m., at the Dwight Lounge, Bristol Campus Center, at Hamilton College. The lecture is free and open to the public.

A 2008 graduate of Hamilton, Orlando studied Russian language and creative writing. During his time at DC Comics, he has become known for his work writing characters like Batman, Supergirl, and the Justice League. He won the 2015 Broken Frontier Award for Best Series and was nominated for the 2017 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comic Book for Midnighter.

Zubkavich has received various nominations and awards for his work on Skullkickers and Wayward. During his time at Marvel Comics, he has written Avengers, Thunderbolts, and Champions. He also serves as an art professor at Seneca College in Toronto, Canada.
