UTICA, NY – Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente will serve as host for the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired’s (CABVI) signature Dark Dining event on October 25 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Utica.
Dark Dining is an elegant dining experience designed to raise awareness about visual impairments by inviting guests to explore dining without the use of sight. Throughout the evening, attendees enjoy a delicious multi-course meal while wearing blindfolds or simulation glasses that replicate conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy, offering a deeper understanding of how these impairments affect daily life.
During the cocktail hour, guests will enjoy a premium open bar and a selection of hors d’oeuvres while browsing an array of exciting raffles and auction items.
Proceeds from Dark Dining support CABVI’s programs and services. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. and dinner starts at 7:30 p.m.
