Congressman Anthony Brindisi (NY-22) issued the following statement after the passage of an emergency supplemental:
“Common sense prevailed today. This bipartisan legislation is not perfect, but these funds will help address the humanitarian crisis at our border. This entire episode highlights the fact that we still need to put politics aside and come up with a comprehensive immigration reform plan that will secure our borders, fix our broken immigration system, and maintain the values that make this country great. I am ready to work with Democrats and Republicans to get this done.”
