Community Garden Donates

Organically grown cabbages, sweet peppers, Honey Nut squash, and rutabagas all grown in the For the Good, Inc.’s Community Gardens were donated to Mother Marianne’s Westside Kitchen all the fixin’s for Thanksgiving dinner.

For The Good CEO Cassandra Harris Lockwood and Community Garden Worker, Ian Muhammad Ali presented the produce to Sandy Maher, parishioner, and volunteer.

Throughout the season FTG’s community gardens supplied the nearby Hope House with lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, collards, kale, herbs and other organic produce beyond what gardeners themselves could eat. It was a good garden season with much to share.
