UTICA, March 5, 2025 — On Saturday morning, March 8, 2025, thousands of runners and walkers will participate in America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk. The course extends from Barneveld to Utica University. Area drivers will encounter delays and altered traffic patterns between 7:00 am and noon.

Patients and staff seeking to get to Slocum-Dickson Medical Center must approach northbound on French Road and will be directed into the Center using its French Road entrance. Exit the Arterial, Route 12 on Lomond Avenue, as the French Road exits will be closed.

America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk 2025 will take place on March 7 and 8 at Utica University. The Healthy for Good Expo, which includes health screenings, WIBX Radiothon and Treadmill Challenge will take place on Friday, March 7 in the Clark Athletic Center at Utica University. The 18-mile, 10-mile and 3-mile runs; and the 3-mile walk; will take place on Saturday, March 8. Buses will transport runners from the Clark Athletic Center to the start of the 18- and 10-mile runs on Saturday. The 3-mile run and walk will begin on Champlin Avenue near Burrstone Road. Frank Mastrovito of Mastrovito Hyundai is chairing the event. Anthony LaPolla of Empower Business Strategies is the logistics chair.
