Due to the changing forecast, the City of Utica’s Snow Emergency, which was scheduled to will go into effect at noon today (Wednesday, March 7th, 2018), will now go into effect at 5:00 pm today and will remain in effect until further notice.
All vehicles must be off the streets by 5:00 pm today to facilitate safe passage for snow removal and emergency services. The Snow Emergency applies to all city streets and roadways with no exceptions.
Overnight parking permits are not applicable during a Snow Emergency.
The City urges no unnecessary travel on City streets as we anticipate dangerous road conditions. The City also urges caution as there may be damage to tree limbs and potential power outages due to the anticipated heavy snow.
If anyone requires assistance they should call 911.
Vehicles left on City roads after 5:00 pm today are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense.
