Rome, NY [December 2025] – The Rome Rescue Mission is asking the community for help with providing holiday meals to those in need. The Mission needs food, unwrapped toys, and monetary donations to help serve over 800 families this Christmas. Specific food donations needed are hams, baked beans, pasta, sauce, canned
veggies and potatoes.
Lisa Patierno, Executive Director of the Rome Rescue Mission said, “Because of you, we are able to meet the needs in our community. I am deeply grateful and hold your support in high regard.”
Donations are accepted Monday – Friday at 413 East Dominick Street from 9AM – 6PM and Saturday & Sunday 9AM-2PM.
The Rome Rescue Mission will be hosting its Christmas meal on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25th at 12:30pm following a prayer service. The mission will be open 9am to 3pm. On Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th, the mission will be open from 9am – 5pm serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner [at 4pm]. The Mission reopens on Friday, December 26 th at 9am to serve breakfast. Christmas Meal delivery will be on Wednesday, December 24th at the following locations and times. Any person in need can receive a meal at a convenient location:

Colonial II from 11:30 to 1145
Madison Plaza from 11:50 to 12:10
Valentine from 12:40 to 12:55
Rome Mall Apartments from 1:15 to 1:30
Georgian Arms Apartments from 1:45 to 2pm
The Rome Rescue Mission is a Christian organization committed to assisting the least, the last, and the lost. Many come through the doors seeking a warm meal, a loving environment, and a hope for a brighter future. Continuing to serve over 200 meals daily while providing guidance and support to the needy, the sick, the suffering, and those who may be forgotten is how they serve. “The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.” – Proverbs 22:9.
