Celebrate the 10th Annual National Apprenticeship Week at the Workforce Development Board’s Free Event: The Value of Registered Apprenticeship Programs

Utica, NY – The Workforce Development Board, Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida Counties’ Regional Apprenticeship Development and Readiness (RADAR) grant project invites you to join us on November 18, 2024, as we focus attention on the vital role of Registered Apprenticeships in creating a skilled workforce and strengthening our economy.

The event will take place Nov. 18th, from 10:00 AM to Noon at the MVCC Utica Campus (1101 Sherman Drive, ACC 116).

Featuring Opportunities To:

  • Explore exciting career paths in the Trades and Advanced Manufacturing fields
  • Learn about Pre-Apprenticeship training and Registered Apprenticeship opportunities
  • Network with local employers who are looking for the next generation of skilled workers
  • Hear inspiring success stories from apprentices who have transformed their careers through these programs

National Apprenticeship Week is an opportunity to show how our free apprenticeship training grant programs not only create pathways to good paying jobs but also advance racial and gender equity in the workforce,” says RADAR Project Director Sommer Edwards. “This nationwide celebration brings together employers, industry representatives, labor organizations, community-based organizations, and educational institutions to highlight the strength of the unified apprenticeship ecosystem and celebrates the partnerships that help develop a highly skilled workforce to meet industry needs. Join us in celebrating the power of apprenticeships to shape the future of our workforce and community while enjoying complimentary food.”
