Utica, N.Y. — Join Munson Museum of Art for a celebration of the season with Spring Weekend featuring “Art in Bloom,” a presentation of spectacular locally produced floral creations inspired by works of art in the Museum’s collection from Friday, April 10, through Sunday, April 12. The exhibit is free for Munson Members and children 12 and under, and $5 for the general public.
This colorful, juried exhibit of designs by regional florists, design professionals, artists, horticulturalists, and flower farmers will be on view throughout the weekend in the Museum’s galleries: Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4:30 p.m. There will be a closing reception and awards presentation, including People’s Choice awards, at 3 p.m. Sunday.
New this year, enjoy delectable culinary experiences by Hart’s Hill Events & Catering, including boxed lunches and afternoon tea offerings Friday and Saturday afternoons and a floral-inspired dinner on Friday. Enhance your visit by swinging by a pop-up shop by The Plant Stand or catching a film as part of the Floral Nightmares Film Festival. Visitors can also get a last look at “Constellations: Works on Paper from Three Collections,” on view through April 12, or a first look at the Pratt Munson First-Year Exhibition, on view beginning April 10.
