Catalyst Group to Host 6th Annual Jingle Jam – Virtual Winter Wonderland

UTICA, NY – The Catalyst Group, the young professionals’ arm of the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce its 6th Annual Jingle Jam Virtual Winter Wonderland ‘FUNraiser’ on Thursday, December 17th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.  This event was started as a way for young professionals to support youth during the holiday season.  Proceeds from this year’s unique virtual event will benefit The House of the Good Shepherd.

For a $20 donation, Jingle Jammers can enjoy a fun online experience featuring a special reading of the The Night before Christmas, contests for Ugly Sweater, Jingle Jammies, and Room Décor, and will receive a swag stocking, filled with Christmas cookies, cocoa, a Christmas cocktail recipe, reindeer food, and more.  Additional stockings can be purchased for a $20 donation.  Families can also sign up for a virtual visit with Santa for just a $10 donation.  The annual Jingle Jam Basket Raffle will also take place online, and all are welcome to participate. The raffle is live now!  Visit www.greateruticachamber.org/chamber-events/jingle-jam for details.

Since its inception in 2015, Jingle Jam has raised nearly $10,000 for local area youth.  “This year is so different.  Along with many other local holiday traditions, we had to think outside the box and come up with a fun, safe alternative to one of our biggest annual events.  We hope that people will continue to support Catalysts’ mission with this unique opportunity to get together in a safe virtual format that can be enjoyed by the entire family, all while supporting a good cause” said Meghan McGrogan, Chamber Executive Director.

“It’s going to be a different type of Christmas and just imagine being a child and going through it?  For adults it’s still hard but we understand it more. If anything, this event can make an adolescents’ Christmas just a little better and brighter, but we can’t do it without your support,” said event co-chair Kristine Theodorakos of Gilroy, Kernan & Gilroy and The Catalyst Steering Committee.

Businesses can sponsor the event for $500, $250 or a $75 raffle item. The deadline for sponsorship is December 9th.  Patrons can make their $20 donation to receive the event link and swag stocking, or $10 Santa visit donation through to the event date of December 17, 2020.

The mission of The Catalyst Group is to provide the spark to engage young professionals with the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce.
