UTICA, N.Y. – The Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) is hosting an exciting Glide demonstration on Wednesday, May 7 at their Vision Health and Wellness Center.
Glide is a ground-breaking leap of assistive technology, combining cutting-edge navigational robotics and AI to provide users with an intuitive and comfortable guided experience that allows people with low vision to navigate safely, confidently, and independently.
During the event, attendees will be able to see Glide’s capabilities, which include:
- Intelligently navigating around obstacles and hazards.
- Locating doors, elevators, stairs, and more.
- Guiding users to their destination safely, both indoors and outdoors.
- Describing surroundings with an active scene description.
- Allowing for pre-mapped routes and freestyle walking.
