UTICA, N.Y. (January 12, 2026) – The Boilermaker Road Race has announced key registration dates for its 49th edition, with priority registration opening on January 19th exclusively for 2025 race registrants. Open registration begins January 26th and will remain open until caps are met. The Boilermaker employs the use of a tiered pricing structure whereby those who register early are rewarded with the best available pricing.
The 15K presented by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield will have a capacity of 11,000, a 5% increase over the 2025 cap. The 5K presented by Utica National continues with its normal capacity of 4,500. Both races sold out well ahead of race day last year, so runners interested in participating are encouraged to register early. Runners who participate in the 2026 Boilermaker Road Race at either distance will be eligible to register for the 50th anniversary of the Boilermaker scheduled for 2027 during their priority registration period.

The Boilermaker Health and Wellness Expo presented by Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) will take place at the Utica Campus of Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) for Boilermaker weekend. The expo will be open on Friday, July 10, from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday, July 11, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition to packet pickup, the expo features healthy living information, a wide array of vendors, Boilermaker merchandise, and more. The Utica National Kids Run and the Walk presented by Slocum-Dickson Medical Group will both take place at MVCC on Saturday, July 11. Registration information will be announced in the spring.
The Boilermaker Charity Bib Program has announced its partners for the 2026 race season. Participants who run for an organization receive a free bib, provided they raise a minimum of $500 for their selected nonprofit organization. The Saranac Post-Race Party will be open to runners and spectators from 8:00 a.m. to noon, providing plenty of time to celebrate with other runners, friends, and family after the race events.
