The Assemblywoman is proud to have students from the Rome City School District, Utica City School District, Whitesboro Central School District, New York Mills Union Free School District, Oriskany Central School District, Utica Academy of Science, Notre Dame High School, Westmoreland Central School District, New York State School for the Deaf, and Tilton School (House of the Good Shepherd) participate in this project. The messages of gratitude from students of all ages serve as a powerful reminder that our veterans’ service is appreciated and remembered.
Assemblywoman Buttenschon will be distributing the cards from October 28th through November 3rd to veterans across the area. We believe this initiative highlights the importance of Veteran’s Day and strengthens community bonds by involving younger generations in honoring those who fought for our freedoms.
