UTICA, NY – Jon Lipe, candidate for New York’s 119th Assembly District, announced today that he will host a final public town hall meeting on Tuesday, October 27th at 6:30pm to answer questions directly from his neighbors in the Mohawk Valley. This meeting will be free and open to the public and will take place at American Legion Post 229 in North Utica.“I pledge to hold these Town Hall meetings every year I am in office,” Lipe said. “The people of our area deserve to hear directly from their representatives and have the opportunity to ask them anything they’d like. To me, being honest and accessible are the most important parts of the job.”
Lipe previously held six town hall meetings in August and September in Rome, South Utica, East Utica, Deerfield, Floyd, and Whitestown. At these forums he answered questions from local residents on energy, healthcare, jobs, AI, the second amendment, and more.
Lipe’s town hall meetings are free and open to the public. All local residents are invited to attend, regardless of party. No pre-registration or RSVP is required. Questions will not be screened.
Tuesday’s town hall meeting will run from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. It will take place at American Legion Post 229 at 409 Herkimer Road, Utica.
Jon Lipe is running for State Assembly to be an independent voice for the Mohawk Valley. Over his career, he has worked for Democrats and Republicans, including Congressmen Sherwood Boehlert, Anthony Brindisi, and John Mannion. If elected to the State Assembly, Lipe will fight to protect healthcare access, lower energy costs, and promote local economic growth. Lipe lives in Whitesboro with his wife and two children.
In addition to the Democratic and Working Families ballot lines, Lipe is on the ballot under the independent Mohawk Valley First ballot line as a result of his outreach to independent and Republican voters.
The 119th Assembly District includes the cities of Utica and Rome, as well as the towns of Floyd, Marcy, Deerfield, and Whitestown. It is currently represented by Democrat Marianne Buttenschon, who is retiring this year after four terms in office.
