Arc Herkimer Learn & Play Wellness Fair

HERKIMER, N.Y. – For the sixth consecutive year, Herkimer County HealthNet, Inc. and Arc Herkimer are partnering to host the Learn & Play Wellness Fair, a free community event that has become a summertime tradition for local families. The event will take place Friday, August 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Arc Park, 350 S. Washington St., Herkimer. Created to connect families with valuable community resources in a fun and engaging environment, the Learn & Play Wellness Fair brings together local organizations that support children, parents, and caregivers. Families can explore programs that promote healthy living, early childhood development, education, nutrition, and overall well-being—all while enjoying a day of free activities, food, and entertainment.

This year’s event will feature:

  • Utica ZooMobile
  • ICAN Mobile Museum
  • Free hot dogs
  • Free Chobani yogurt
  • Stewart’s Ice Cream
  • Interactive games and hands-on activities
  • Health screenings and wellness information
  • Community resource booths
  • Giveaways and family-friendly fun

For six years, HealthNet and Arc Herkimer have worked together to create an event where families can make meaningful connections with local organizations while enjoying a day of play. The fair continues to grow each year, helping families discover free programs, services, and opportunities available throughout Herkimer County. “Our partnership with Arc Herkimer has helped make this event something families look forward to every summer,” said Elyse Enea, Executive Director of Herkimer County HealthNet. “We know that connecting families to resources doesn’t have to happen in a doctor’s office or through a referral. Sometimes it happens while children are playing, parents are meeting local organizations, and neighbors are building relationships. That’s exactly what this event is all about.”

The Learn & Play Wellness Fair is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
