Airplane! Live with Julie Hagerty and Robert Hays

Syracuse, NY – Comedy classic Airplane! is cleared for takeoff once again with a special
big-screen screening, followed by a live Q&A with stars Julie Hagerty (flight attendant
“Elaine Dickinson”) and Robert Hays (reluctant pilot “Ted Striker”). This one-night event
crash lands at The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater on Thursday, October 8, 2026,
giving comedy fans the chance to experience this iconic film as it was meant to be seen
– on the big screen, 46 years after its original release.

Known for its rapid-fire jokes, hilarious slapstick, and unforgettable cast, Airplane! is
widely regarded as one of the greatest comedies ever made. After the screening of the film, Hagerty and Hays will take the stage for a live, moderated Q&A. They’ll share behind-the-scenes stories, creative insights, and personal memories from the making of the film – offering fans an inside look into the creation of this legendary comedy.

Audiences will experience Airplane! like never before and hear directly from those who
brought it to life. A limited number of “First Class” VIP meet & greet tickets will be available to add on to tickets and include a professionally shot photo with Julie Hagerty and Robert Hays and a tour poster autographed by the pair. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 16 at 10am and can be purchased in person at the Solvay Bank Box Office at The Oncenter or online at http://www.ticketmaster.com.

About Julie Hagerty

Julie Hagerty is a distinguished actress whose career spans stage, television, and film.
She first gained acclaim as Elaine Dickinson in the iconic comedy Airplane!, and went
on to star in Woody Allen’s A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy, Robert Altman’s Beyond
Therapy, Albert Brooks’ Lost in America, and Frank Oz’s What About Bob?
In recent years, Hagerty has delivered standout performances in Noah Baumbach’s
Marriage Story; Paramount’s Instant Family, where she starred opposite Mark Wahlberg

and Rose Byrne; Amazon Studios’ Somebody I Used to Know; and CBS’ Matlock, with
Kathy Bates. Hagerty can next be seen in the Warner Brothers, M Night Shyamalan
film, Remain, opposite Jake Gyllenhaal.

About Robert Hays

Since making his feature film debut as Ted Striker in Airplane!, Robert has since
appeared in more than 20 motion pictures, five television series, and numerous
television movies and stage productions.

His career began at San Diego’s renowned Old Globe Theatre, where his stage credits
include Mr. Roberts (title role), The Glass Menagerie, Richard III, and The Man in the
Glass Booth opposite Leonard Nimoy. He won the Atlas Award for Best Actor for his
performance in the British drawing-room comedy Say Who You Are.

Hays’s film credits include Disney’s Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey and
Homeward Bound II, Robert Altman’s Dr. T & the Women, and the Stephen King thriller Cat’s Eye, among many others. He also starred in Airplane II, Take This Job and Shove It, Scandalous, and Utilities.
On television, he starred in the series Starman and Angie, and guest-starred on shows
including Touched by an Angel and That ‘70s Show. In addition to acting, Hays is a producer and continues to work across film, television,
and theater. He enjoys life in Hawaii with wife, Gina, and spending time with their sons, Jake and Nicolo, on the mainland.
