A private gig by local band The Boom Chickens, a private tour of Saranac Brewery with Fred Matt, a Bed of Nails encounter, selected artwork, and an animal encounter at the Utica Zoo are just a few of the many silent auction items at the annual KACelebration! fundraising event on Saturday, February 8 from 7 pm at the Kirkland Art Center in Clinton.
The party has a 1960’s theme this year and will take place in the KAC Gallery, which will be transformed for the evening with psychedelic décor, live music, fine food, and lots of fun.
The evening will feature popular acoustic duo, Steve & Steve who will play a full 1960’s set. Surprise guests will also provide songs and entertainment to suit the 1960’s party theme.
“It’s the most fun you’ll have in February and it’s also a great way to help keep our community arts center thriving,” said Damhnait McHugh, a KAC Board member on the party committee. “People can wear their hippest threads or come as they are – we will all have a good time.”
Party goers will enjoy hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants and complimentary drinks from Clinton Wine & Spirits and Saranac Brewery.
The 1960’s KACelebration! will be held Saturday, February 8th from 7-10pm at the Kirkland Art Center, 9½ East Park Row in Clinton, NY.
Tickets are $40 per person in advance or $45 per person at the door and can be purchased at www.kacny.org, by calling 315-853-8871, or by dropping by the KAC during regular office hours Tuesdays through Fridays.
