Mark your calendar for the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley’s Healthy Kids Day, Saturday, April 26.
The Rome Family Y 301 W. Bloomfield St., Oneida Family Y, 701 Seneca St., and YMCA Childcare in Whitesboro (8595 Westmoreland Road) will offer free fun-filled activities from 9 am – 12 pm.
Healthy Kids Day® is an annual national event celebrated at Ys nationwide to help inspire healthy habits in kids and families. This is a great opportunity to discover programs and activities available in your community that help keep your family moving!
- All locations will feature Summer Day Camp and Before and After School registration. Families that register and pay in full for Summer Day Camp on Healthy Kids Day will receive one week free.
“It’s important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said Holly Panibianco, YMCA Regional Childcare Director. “At the Y we believe in providing resources for families to create healthy habits, all year long.”
- Explore how you can help change lives by joining our Summer Day Camp Program team! Job Fairs will be held on Healthy Kids Day in Oneida, Rome, and Whitesboro locations. We need mature employees who love working with children. Specific qualifications are available on our website.
- YMCA Youth Art Showcase in all locations. Come experience this vibrant celebration of young creativity featuring a diverse range of art from our YCare programs highlighting the importance of artistic expression in fostering confidence and critical thinking.
- Visit Community Vendor booths for information, activities and giveaways.
- Purchase a healthy meal from LaVant Food Truck, featuring traditional Mediterranean Food at the Oneida Y. Register for Summer Day Camp and save 15% on your order.
- Meet local Olympic Luge Champion, Erin Hamlin at the Rome Family YMCA
- Families are encouraged to take a tour of your Y, learn about services for all ages, and how to become a member.
