DeShane was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening. All occupants of the Honda CR-V were taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital with serious injuries. State Police said the three juveniles were later transferred to Upstate University Hospital, where they remain in stable but critical condition.

Kaska was admitted to Canton-Potsdam Hospital and is listed in stable condition. Tammy L. Brunette-Kaska later died from her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
