CCHS hosts ‘Heritage Night: Books, Coffee & Local History’ at C. S. Miller Books

Norwich, N.Y. – The Chenango County Historical Society (CCHS), C. S. Miller Books, Knuckle Down Coffee Company, and The Spilled Ink and Coffee Show are collaborating on “Heritage Night: Books, Coffee & Local History.” From 6-8 pm on May 28, visit C.S. Miller Books to enjoy coffee, books, and conversation featuring The Spilled Ink and Coffee Show podcast with special guest, local author Christian Vischi.

In addition to exploring local history, The Spilled Ink and Coffee Show Pop-Up Podcast Booth will offer a variety of segments, such as improv book games, literary insider tips, and mini-book reviews.

“Calling all book lovers, indie bookstore owners, and authors—step up to the mic and be part of the conversation,” said Kasie Cavanagh, The Spilled Ink and Coffee Show’s co-host and producer. “Share what you’re reading, what you’re writing, or what you’re recommending in a lively, welcoming space designed to celebrate stories of all kinds.”

“We’re really excited to be collaborating on this unique program,” said Jessica Moquin, CCHS executive director. “The cozy venue of C. S. Miller Books, featuring local flavors from Knuckle Down Coffee Company, in combination with The Spilled Ink and Coffee Show, will make this an ideal gathering to ‘Come for the history, stay for the stories.’”

First established in 1939, CCHS is the area’s premier heritage museum dedicated to celebrating local culture – its unique traditions and noteworthy stories. CCHS programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. CCHS is also a proud partner of Bloomberg Connects, an app that allows visitors to enhance their exhibit experience through audio clips, videos, and more.
