Join Herkimer County’s Earth Week Cleanup: Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful

Herkimer County is kicking off Earth Week 2025 with a community litter cleanup event that brings residents together to protect our local environment. On April 8th, volunteers will gather at Fort Herkimer Gazebo to make a difference in our community.

The “Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful” initiative invites everyone to participate in this important environmental stewardship opportunity. Starting at 9:30am, participants will hear from local leaders about litter’s impact on our ecosystem before receiving free cleanup supplies and heading to the canal trail.

This family-friendly event offers a perfect opportunity to teach younger generations about environmental responsibility while making a tangible difference in our community spaces.

Want to participate? Simply scan the QR code on the event flyer to register your own cleanup team, or just show up ready to help. For questions, contact info@mvedd.org.

Join your neighbors in keeping the Mohawk Valley beautiful – one piece of litter at a time!
