
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County will be holding a free outdoor vegetable garden workshop for beginners on Saturday, April 26th from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Early spring is a perfect time to learn the basics of vegetable gardening! This workshop is sponsored by the CCE Oswego Master Gardener Volunteer Program.
Guest speaker will be Karen Goodwin, Master Gardener for CCE Oswego County. During the workshop, Karen will take attendees on a tour of her vegetable garden. Topics to be discussed will be soil preparation, weed management, tools needed, seeding and transplanting, raised beds, vertical gardening and pest control. There will be plenty of time for questions and printouts will be made available.
Registration is required to attend this outdoor program, and space is limited to 15 cars due to parking considerations.
