In this Hot Seat: Media Monday, 95.5 FM’s Jonathan Brooks/ DJ J-Easy and promoter/entertainer Amos Donnell discuss local entertainment, early influences, and the importance of faith and resiliency in show business.
DJ J-Easy talked about his life making music and how his family was his earliest musical influence. He also discusses his experience performing at the Bank of Utica’s New Year’s Eve event. It was his first time performing for such a large crowd, but he was excited to show people what he could do. He explained how he prepared for his performance, including rehearsing his set list and practicing his stage presence.
Amos Donnell talks about his career as a promoter and entertainer. He told how his mother, a strong and resilient woman, inspires him. He says he started the business by working with DJ J-Easy on The Wizard of Was. He also talked about his experience performing at the New Hartford’s Got Talent competition.
The panel discussed their upcoming events at Pinz Entertainment, including a karaoke night and a magic show, and the importance of supporting local artists and arts venues.
