December, 2017 – Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc. is pleased to announce the receipt of the Women’s Fund of Herkimer and Oneida Counties grant totaling $4,576.00. The funds received are to be used to develop a comprehensive, multi-pronged approach to facilitating the long-term lifestyle changes of those who suffer from substance addictions.
The Women’s Fund Recovery Program will provide long-term recovery and aftercare services for approximately 75 women throughout Herkimer County. These women will be lead down a new path of wholesome, healthy experiences, and will be empowered to continue the journey to sustained recovery. The programming will address a variety of topics in a friendly, fun atmosphere and will give those participating in the program the opportunity to build healthy relationships with women in similar situations.
The Women’s Fund Recovery Program will be patterned after a current series, created and administered by CFLR, Inc. in Oneida County. Partnering with local treatment centers, as well as chapters of Alcohol Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), CFLR will work to promote the Women’s Fund Recovery Program with those women who are in early recovery and most in need of rebuilding healthy, productive lives, designed for life-long recovery.
Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc. is proud to be the area’s leading expert for advocacy, prevention, counseling, and training. As a community partner, it is important to us that we continue spreading the message of help and hope to our area and with those whom we work.
