Andrew Dober Ascends to Director of Labor Sales at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield

UTICA, NY – March, 2024 – In a significant development announced today, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield is proud to appoint Andrew Dober as the new Director of Labor Sales. This appointment marks a pivotal moment in Dober’s illustrious career with the company that began in 1992.
Andrew has been an integral part of Excellus BCBS for over three decades, holding various sales positions and making substantial contributions to commercial sales and the government programs division. His unwavering dedication since 2000 has been instrumental in retaining and expanding the health insurer’s labor book of business across its extensive 31-county service area.
With this new role, Andrew will also represent the health plan as a corporate designee to the esteemed Blue Cross Blue Shield Association’s (BCBSA) National Labor Office (NLO).
Dober’s academic and professional achievements are noteworthy. A distinguished graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse in 2013, he holds an Associate in Science degree with honors in labor studies from Onondaga Community College. Furthering his education, Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and human resources management from SUNY Brockport and an Advanced Labor Studies certificate from BCBSA’s NLO at Rutgers University.
His commitment extends beyond professional realms; serving on the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) board exemplifies his dedication to community service.
