Another Syracuse resident has been charged for his alleged role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
According to the FBI, Richard Watrous of Syracuse was arrested Tuesday. He has been charged with:
- entering or remaining in a restrictive building or grounds
- disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds
- disorderly conduct in a Capitol Building
- parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol Building
“FBI Albany will continue to work with our colleagues at the Washington Field Office and the United States Attorney’s Office to ensure those who chose to break the law that day are held accountable,” the bureau said in a statement.
Two other Syracuse residents, Albert Ciarpelli and Matthew Greene, have faced charges connected to the riot.
