Letters To The Editor

Dear Al Jarreau,

Free Google Images: Letter to the Editor

Your music has always been and will continue to be a “beautiful muse” for my soul.Your love of all music and all people encouraged me to dream and reach beyond my doubts and fears when I first heard you speak and then sing back when I was in the 8th grade. Your very demeanor, both calmed my insides and stirred the passion within me that I didn’t recognize. Your style, grace confidence, and kindness showed me that it was not only okay to “Stand Out” but, that standing up and walking with my shoulders back as an artist and human being was an absolute must!

Mr. Jarreau, your voice, your songs, your interpretation and your delivery, well… they inspire me to trust my instincts. They remind me to enjoy every note that I sing. They help me to keep taking chances in my music. They confirm that I determine how I want to be received.I thank you so very much for being so unselfish with your voice, your music, your knowledge, your experience, your passion and your love. One day I’ll sit beside you and Ella. I won’t say a word. I’ll just listen!  🙂 <3 Nikki.
