Cosmetology Program

(NH) We are offering a new Cosmetology course scheduled to start on October 7, 2019. The class will run through Monday through Thursday: from 5:30-9:30 pm, at OHM BOCES in New Hartford. The tuition for the course is $6300.00.
Licensed Cosmetology is a 1000-hour program designed to provide students with marketable skills to enter the field of Cosmetology. While skills are being acquired, students perform services on real customers in a hair salon setting. Course content includes hair and skin analysis, custom hair cutting and hair design, basic color techniques, facials, nails, hair removal or waxing, make-up application, salon management, and state licensing preparation. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the New York State Appearance Enhancement Licensing Examination.
The exam consists of a written and practical assessment. Passing of this exam qualifies you to work as a hair stylist, esthetician and/or nail technician. Purchase of books and supplies required. A convenient payment plan is available.
