The Hamilton Concerts on the Green series comes to a close this Thursday (8/16). This series could not have been possible without the support of the Village of Hamilton and community supporters. A special thanks to the Mid-York Foundation, NBT Bank, Hamilton’s Masonic Lodge, Rotary and Lions Club for their help in funding the series. Additionally, our hats go off to the in-kind donors, Scrap Paper Social, M&M Press, Hood Dairy, Hamilton Movie Theater, Flour and Salt Bakery and Parry’s, all of whom generously donated their time and/or products. A special thanks to Melissa Cassulis and the Hamilton Area Coalition for organizing the fun and thoughtful activities on the Green.
Performing on the Green, from the great state of Vermont, will be the talented Nina’s Brew. Hailing from diverse musical backgrounds, Nina’s Brew is a melting pot of influence, genre and talent. The trio features Giovanina Bucci on rhythm guitar and vocals, Mike Brewster on lead guitar and vocals, and Isaac French on vocals, percussion, and guitar. Their 7:00 performance will be uniquely infectious and soulful and not to be missed.
J.J Murphy, who was originally scheduled for this time slot, had to cancel, but we look forward to enjoying his music the next time he is in Hamilton, his hometown.
To honor the service of our veterans, Clearpath for Veterans will be on the Green with their puppies and dogs to present their dog therapy program. Clearpath empowers veterans and their families through supportive programs and services in a safe, respectful environment. All ice cream sales for the evening will be going to Clearpath.
As always, come at 5:30 and picnic on the Green and bring the kids to play lawn games. The music begins at 7:00 . In the case of rain, the music will be held at the Palace Theater (19 Utica St.)
