UTICA, N.Y. (April 27, 2026) – YWCA Mohawk Valley (YWCA MV) announces today that the executive board room at their headquarters at Rutger Park in Utica will now be known as the Bank of Utica Board and Community Room. Representatives from Bank of Utica, along with YWCA MV staff and members of their board of directors, gathered for an unveiling event on April 22, 2026.
The space is a hub for collaborative activities and leadership meetings. The conversation, idea generation and decisions that happen within the room bring people together to help support and save the lives of individuals and families affected by domestic and sexual violence.
Bank of Utica’s commitment to the space is the latest in well over a decade of support to YWCA MV. They have supported the signature Salute to Outstanding Women event since 2013, stepping up to become the presenting sponsor in 2022. They also support YWCA’s annual Party on the Patio event, awareness events such as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Take Back the Night, Adopt- A-Family during the holiday season, and even experiential opportunities like hosting a night for the organization’s AMEND Together participants at a local sporting event.
“Bank of Utica and the Sinnott family have been by our side at every turn for so many years, in support and sponsorship, but also as an amazing banking partner” said YWCA MV CEO Dianne Stancato. “We are so grateful for their belief in our mission and for engaging with us in a multitude of ways that raises awareness and uplifts women.”
“YWCA MV carries an important, meaningful mission”, shared Bank of Utica Senior Vice President Barry Sinnott. “The bank empowers our customers and our community in many ways, and we are deeply committed to uplifting women and children who are survivors of violence.”
