Connected Central Valley Helps Connect Families with Community Resources
Connected Central Valley will host its Third Annual Bunny Trail Event on March 18th at
5:00 PM at the Barringer Road Elementary School! This event is free and open to all
district residents. Families are invited to enjoy a fun evening featuring free ice cream,
various activities, and photo opportunities. They can also visit community partner
stations to gather information about available resources and participate in engaging
activities at each stop.
Community partners will provide crucial information on a range of essential family
services, including mental health support, insurance options, nutrition assistance, and
weatherization programs.
Valerie Pettengil, Nutrition Program Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension says,
“Building Healthy Habits helps adults gain practical skills and knowledge to support
healthier lifestyles and stronger communities. Stop by our table to learn more.” These
programs offer families the opportunity to connect with others who can provide access
to beneficial resources.
“The Bunny Trail Event is more than just a fun night out for our families,” says Donna
Senko, Project Manager of Connected Central Valley. “It’s a great opportunity to connect
them directly with resources that can make a real difference in their lives, covering
everything from health to practical support like weatherization and nutrition. This free
event strengthens our community while providing tangible help.”
Connected Central Valley is committed to supporting families with essential local
information and services that help students and families navigate challenges. By
integrating these supports into family-focused events, the school ensures broad access
and fosters strong partnerships between home and school. These engagement
opportunities enhance student outcomes and build a supportive, connected
community. If you’re interested in learning more or accessing resources, contact your
