Sauquoit, NY – Returning to The Root Farm for the 2026 winter season are two opportunities to celebrate the Snow Moon with a guided snowshoe hike on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, and Monday, February 2nd, 2026. The hike will run from 5:00 to 6:30 pm on both days.
Explore the beautiful, expansive wooded trails at The Root Farm during a unique hike after sunset. These events are perfect for people looking to experience snowshoeing for the first time, but do not know where to start. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own snowshoes and hiking equipment, including headlamps or flashlights.
Admission cost is $20 per person, with children under 7 free. Admission includes the guided snowshoe hike, snowshoe rental (if needed), a gourmet hot cocoa bar, and refreshments.
