On Friday, February 14, 2025, at about 3:25 PM, the Rome Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the 400 block of Black River Blvd., for a reported assault. Responding officers located a victim suffering from a laceration to the left forearm. The victim told officers on scene that he had been slashed in the forearm with a box cutter by an unknown male. At this time, the investigation is ongoing.
