On December 13, 2024, State Police of Princetown, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, arrested Jianni A. Ackerman, 19, of Schenectady, NY, for Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony.
Ackerman is accused of possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his residence in Schenectady, NY, on December 13, 2024. The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Ackerman was arrested at his home and transported to SP Princetown for processing. He was then issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Schenectady City Court on December 20, 20024, and released.
On December 13, 2024, State Police of Latham, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, arrested Kyle S. Sweet, 37, of Westerlo, NY, for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “D” felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony.
Sweet is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his residence in Westerlo, NY, on December 4, 2024. The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Sweet surrendered himself to SP New Scotland, where he was arrested and processed. He was then arraigned at the Westerlo Town Court, where he was released on a $30,000 bail bond.
