Oneida County adds more COVID-19 vaccine booster pods

Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente has announced that additional COVID-19 vaccine booster pods have been added to accommodate the high demand of people.

On Thursdays, a drive-thru pod will be available at Griffiss International Airport in Rome.

Another pod will be available on Fridays at Mohawk Valley Community College’s Jorgensen Center in Utica.

Booster pod appointments for the upcoming weeks can be made online for both the Rome and Utica locations.

Oneida County residents are eligible to get the booster shot if they have received the first two doses of the Pfizer vaccine over six months ago. Individuals must bring a valid COVID-19 vaccine card or Excelsior Pass to show proof of having received the initial vaccine.
