The Stanley Theater Presents: The Second Family Food Truck Festival

Food Trucks, Theater Tours, Music & MORE!

Saturday, October 14th From 12:00pm – 3:00pm

In The City Lot Next to The Stanley

Utica, N.Y. (October 13th, 2017) – The Food Trucks are coming back to The Stanley! On Saturday, October 14th from Noon-3pm, a variety of food trucks will assemble in the City of Utica parking lot next to The Stanley Theater. Along with the food and beverages for sale, there will be local music provided by The Old Main Duo, The Other Guys (Mike Peek & Rocky Graziano), The Cathy Timian Band and The Brian Mulkerne Band! The entire event is sponsored by Adorino Construction.

Hailing from the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York, The Old Main has drawn favorable comparisons to bands such as The Avett Brothers, The Band, and Dawes, while retaining a sound and style uniquely their own. With catchy original music and creatively reimagined covers, they’ve been called everything from Folk-Rock to alt-Americana, though no label or description compares to hearing their foot-stomping music in person. Acoustic guitar, harmonica, banjo, upright bass, drums, and ringing vocal harmonies make up The Old Main’s raw acoustic sound, and their high-energy live performances are enjoyed by all. The Old Main continues to build acclaim and expand their already strong following all over the North East.

Rocky Graziano and Mike Peek of the band Soundbarrier. An acoustic duo performing modern and pop rock, as well as 80’s, 90’s, classic and oldies.

Cathie Timian has been pleasing audiences with her smoky, bluesy sound for well over a decade! Her velvety vocal is reminiscent of Etta James or Ruth Brown. Her influences include Buddy Guy, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Beth Hart, BB King, Eric Clapton, Bessie Smith, and so many other well-known jazz and blues artists. Rounding up the Cathie Timian Band are the talented Scott Wood on Guitar, Neon John Handzel on Bass, and Claude Schuyler on Drums. On top of hosting open mic nights and performing at various local venues, Cathie is very active in the local music scene. You may have seen Cathy singing with Steve Falvo’s Easy Money Big Band here at The Stanley this Spring. She is also a lifetime member of the Mohawk Valley Blues Society, and likes to attend their monthly open jams at Utica Brews whenever she can!

Brian Mulkerne is a guitarist and singer in Central New York. The Brian Mulkerne Band is comprised of Brian Mulkerne on guitar, vocals, and harmonica; George Deveny on slide and lead guitar and vocals, Ken McConnell Jr on bass; and C Oscar Crandall drums.

The Stanley will also be offering free tours throughout the event. This is an event the whole community can come out and enjoy!
